    The upper most pin of each channel connector of the load cell module is number 1.


    For the 6-wired load cell, connect to the lines corresponding to the wiring diagram as above. 


     


    The 4-wired load cell does NOT have SEN+ and SEN- lines. 


    For the 4-wired load cell, after wiring the 4 lines except SEN+ and SEN-, please SHORT CIRCUIT the SEN+ <-> EXC+ and SEN- <-> EXC- pins.

  • Q. How
    to downgrade SCADA version from V3.03 to V2.14?

     

     

    A. Downgrading the SCADA PGX files from V3.03 to V2.14 is
    possible by using [PgxDowngrade.exe] program.

     

     

     

    *Purpose: When a user with
    UltimateAccess (CIMON SCADA) version 3.00 and above runs the SCADA project
    containing the PGX files that were 

    drawn in the V2.14, these PGX files are
    automatically encoded as Unicode and can no longer be opened in the multi-byte
    based version 2.14. 

    However, using this PgxDowngrade program enables the user
    to downgrade these PGX files back to V2.14 from V3.00-3.03.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    [How to Use]

     

     

    1. Download and move the [PgxDowngrade.exe] program to
    the CIMON SCADA V2.14 installation folder as shown below. This program refers
    to the DLL files of the version 2.14 as it operates.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    2. Click and run this program.

     

     

     

     

     

    Project Folder Location [V3.00-V3.03]        Specify the folder path
    to import the V3.00-V3.03 PGX files to be converted.

     

     

    Folder for saving the converted PGX files [V2.14]        Specify the folder path
    to save the newly converted PGX files.

     

     

    The List of converted PGX files        Display the list of
    successfully converted PGX files.

     

      

    Error List        Display the error list
    of the PGX files that fail to be converted or the PGX files that whose objects
    have been removed.

     

     

    Progress Bar        Display how many PGX
    pages have been converted in the form of progress bar
    .

     

     

    Open the folder containing the converted PGX         Automatically open the
    folder containing the newly converted PGX files 

                                                                                                 (this function is enabled by
    default).

     

     

     

     

    Functional limitations

     

     

     

    Some of the specific objects that are added
    in the CIMON SCADA V3.00-3.03 will be removed when 
    converted to V2.14.

     

     

    • Dynamic Image: Since the Dynamic image object is not available in V2.14, these objects
      will be removed when converted from V3.00-V3.03 to V2.14.

     

     

     

    • Real
      Time Graph: Though the Real Time Graph object already exists in the V2.14, the
      Fast Trend feature has been added to the Real Time Graph on V3.00-3.03 by
      default. Therefore, the Real Time Graph object will be removed when converted
      to V2.14 due to the Fast Trend feature, which is not supported in V2.14.

     

     

     

  • Q. How
    to configure CIMON-SCADA OPC Server for Windows 7 and 8?

     

     

    A. CIMON-SCADA OPC Server function is available only with
    WEB SERVER USB Dongle (Keylock).

     

     

    These
    are conditions that should be met in order to properly configure and use OPC
    Server in SCADA:

     

    • USB Dongle (Keylock) should be CM04-SCADA
      1-E or above
      as shown in the below image.
    • In this example, UltimateAccess V3.03 is used for the
      FAQ manual.





    [UltimateAccess (CIMON-SCADA) OPC Server Configurations]



    1.     
    Go
    to Computer
    Local Disk (C:) → CIMON → UltimateAccess → CIMON SCADA
    And change the file name from “CmHOpcsvr.exe” to “CmHOpcsvr_B.exe.”





    2.   Download and unzip “OPC Server Components” folder in the attached below.





    3.  Copy and paste the “CmHOpcSvr” file from the [OPC
    Server Components] folder to the CIMON SCADA UltimateAccess installation
    folder. (This file is different from the existing file in the UltimateAccess
    installation folder).


    4.     
    Click
    and open the “AddOn.lst” file in the UltimateAccess installation folder.
    Type
    the below information in red to the “AddOn.lst” file.







    5.   Or you can just copy and paste “,OpcRun, orn,
    OpcRun.dll,,” from AddOn.lst file from the OPC Server Components folder to the
    AddOn.lst file in the UltimateAccess folder.







    6.   Copy and paste the three files (opccfg.dat,
    OpcRun.dll, OpcTag.ini) from the OPC Server Components folder to the
    UltimateAccess installation folder.






    7.   The three files are now located in the UltimateAccess
    installation folder.

    to use Animation Editor in XpanelDesigner?

     

     

    A. Refer to the instructions below.

     

     

     

    1. Execute
    XpanelDesigner V2.40
    [Tools] → [Animation Editor]

     

     

     

     

     

    2. Click
    [Add Frame] to import PNG or JPEG images.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    3. Click
    [Simulation] to see how the added frames will be displayed on XPANEL device.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    4. By
    entering different values in [
        msec],
    you can control how fast the images change.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    5. Click [Save] and enter a group name and file name. Click [OK] to convert these frames into an animation
    bitmap file.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    6. Go to [Edit]
    [Insert Animation Bitmap].

     

     

     

     

     

     

    7. Select [Logo]
    [CIMON Logo] that you have just added in Animation Editor.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    8. The newly added animation bitmap is displayed on a
    project page as shown below.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    9. Right click on the object and select ‘Object
    Config(W).’

     

     

     

     

     

     

    10. Select the digital tag [D1] that was already
    registered in the database with the initial value of ‘ON (1).’

     

     

     

     

     

     

    11. Go to [Tools]
    [XPANEL Configuration] and set ‘Page 1.PGX’ as the Starting Page.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    12. Go to [Tools]
    [Run Simulator] and see how the newly added animation object will be displayed
    on XPANEL device in the Simulator mode.

     

     

  • Q. What
    are the main differences between XPANEL and SCADA communication?

     

     

    A. Refer to the table below for advantages and
    disadvantages.

    communication regardless of page status.

     

    User can
    define the communication blocks (at I/O Device) which are always involved in
    communication.

     

    Accordingly,
    user must consider all Tag configuration before Comm. Setting and put them
    into communication frame.

    Advantages

     

    Communication is
    made without any specific Comm. Setting.

     

    User simply registers
    target device at   I/O Device.

     

     

    User can define a
    Comm. frame at I/O Device efficiently.

     

    Without registering
    any Tag, Comm. Block can only check the Comm. status.

    Disadvant.

     

    XpanelDesigner
    creates its own algorithm based on Comm. frame, and this system cannot
    control the Comm. traffic.

     

    To run a
    communication, there must be at least one Tag registered on Page, Script,
    Alarm, Datalogging or DataServer feature.

     

     

     

    Comm. Block must be
    set up to run a communication.

     

     

    If Comm. Block
    setting is wrong, value in Tag might not be displayed properly.

     

  • Q. How
    to configure OPC Client in SCADA?

     

    A. Refer to the instructions below.

     

     

    These are conditions that should be met in order to
    properly configure and use OPC Client in SCADA:

     

    • USB Dongle (Keylock) should be CM04-SCADA 1-E or
      above as shown in the below image.
    • In this example, UltimateAccess V3.03 is used for the
      FAQ manual.

    1. Open “CimonD” and Click [Tools] → [I/O
    Device] → [New Device]

     

     

     

     

     

     

    2. There
    are “OPC Client” and “OPC Client DA 3.0.”

     

    “OPC Client” driver is developed based on “OPC Core Components 2.00.”

    “OPC Client DA 3.0” driver is developed based on “OPC Core
    Components 3.00.”

    Choose one of the drivers according to the version of the
    OPC Server Program.

     

     

     

     

    3. Click
    [Add Group] at the Device Configuration for (OPC Client).

        Click [Add Group] at the Device Setup for (OPC Client DA 3.0).

     

     

     

     

     

    4. If “OPC Client” is selected, the below picture will
    pop up.

     

     

     

     

    -Server
    Node: Select “Local” if OPC server program runs in PC which is connected to
    PLC.

     Select “Remote
    if OPC server program runs in other PC connected to PLC through network.

     

    -Select
    Server: Click “Searching Server” to choose the OPC server.

     

    -Update
    polling: Select update time for data.

     

    -Active:
    Select Communication Enable or Disable. (Default is “Active”)

     

    -Deadband:
    It is used to set percentage of minimum and maximum of Analog value saved in
    OPC server.    

     When Analog value is changed by setting
    percentage CIMON SCADA will work.

     

    -Time
    Bias: Not used

     

    -Local
    ID: Not used

     

    *In order to use “Remote” OPC Client, the following registry must be
    registered.

     

    regsvr32 /s opcproxy.dll

     

    The OPC registry is automatically registered when the files of the
    directory from the OPC Server PC are copied to the OPC Client PC and the BAT
    file is executed by the extension.

     

    When the OPC Server PC is not communicating properly, please make
    sure that the account and the password for both Server and Client are the same
    and that a user must be logged in with the same account.

    5. 
    If “OPC Client DA 3.0” is selected, the below
    picture will pop up. 

            

            –The setting is the same as that of “OPC Client.”
            –ITEM LIST copy to clipboard: Copies tags of OPC
    Server. You can paste them to Word or Excel to edit.
       

            6.  Click “OK” to save configuration. You can see the “ST1” group as shown below.
              
            


           7After setting “OPC Client,” create real tags to
    communicate with “OPC Server” program.

           

    – 
    Click [I/O Device] to select the device you have
    already set for OPC Server.
           – Write the name of I/O Address which is already
    registered in OPC Server.

           – For example, OPC Server program has tags as shown
    below.
           
             
           I/O Address must be [“Station Name.Tag name”]:
    OPCTEST.d2
           *If tag name of OPC Server is
    written in small letters, tag name of SCADA must be small letters too.
                  
           
           


            8Save
    project and run CimonX to communicate with OPC Server.
                            *OPC
    Server program should be “Run mode” to communicate with SCADA.
                           *Setting
    and Configuration should be different according to OPC Server Program.
                             *PLC
    should be connected to PC to communicate with OPC Server Program.

  • Q. How
    to set up XPANEL user login screen?

     

    A. Follow the instructions below. (XpanelDesigner V2.40)

     

     

    1. Create
    an object for a login button as shown below.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    2. Click
    on the object and register a command ‘LogOnWin()’ as shown below.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    3. Register
    a digital virtual tag as shown below.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    4. Go to [Tools] [Security] → [New User] and type in User ID and Password.

     

    §  User ID: CIMON

    §  Password: 1234 

     

     

     

     

     

     

    5. Download
    the project and run the XPANEL device.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    6. Click on ‘Log On’ button and enter your password.

     

     

     

     

  • Q. How
    and when to use XPANEL Repair Mode?

     

     

    A. XPANEL Repair Mode is used when the XPANEL device does
    not execute a project file even after the project download.

     

     

    *If
    any of the XPANEL application program files is damaged or missing, it will NOT
    execute a project file and run the XPANEL device. 

      These XPANEL application
    program files have to be installed in the “XpanelBin” folder inside the device
    as shown below.

     

     

     

     

     

    XPANEL Repair Mode is used to restore
    these XPANEL application program files when they are damaged or missing.

     

     

    1. Go to [Online] and click [Repair Mode]. 

       [Repair
    Mode] includes the function of [Upgrade XPANEL Application Program] and
    restores the application program files.

     

     

     

     

     

    2. Click [Yes].

     

     

     

     

     

    3. Click [OK]. And you MUST download an XpanelDesigner
    project in order to restore the XPANEL Application Program files.

     

     

     

     

     

    4. Even if you try to run Xpanel device, this message
    appears and tells you to download a project.

     

     

     

     

     

    5. Go to [Online] and click [Download to XPANEL (PC
    -> XPANEL).

     

     

     

     

     

    6. Click [Yes].

     

     

     

     

     

    7. Click [OK].

     

     

     

     

     

    8. Click [Yes]. The message says “Current version: No
    Version Information (XPANEL)” because the XPANEL device is in Repair Mode.

     

     

     

     

    9. The
    XPANEL Application Program files are being restored and reinstalled as shown
    below.

        This process is exactly the same as the function
    [Upgrade XPANEL Application Program] as shown in the step [1].
     

     

     

     

     

     

    10. Click [Yes] when downloading to XPANEL is
    completed.

     

     

     

     

     

    11. Now you can see on your XPANEL device that an XpanelDesigner
    project is running because the [Repair Mode] has restored and upgraded the [XPANEL
    Application Program] files.

     

     

     

     

     

     

  • Q. How
    to configure Cimon View Server and Client in SCADA?

     

     

    A. Refer to the instructions below.

     

    These are conditions that should be met in order to
    properly configure and use Cimon View in SCADA:

     

    • SCADA Version and Cimon View Version should be
      identical.

     

               For example, UltimateAccess V3.03 and Cimon View V3.03
    are used for this FAQ.

     

     

    • USB Dongle (Keylock) should be CM04-SCADA 1-E or
      above.

     

     

     

     

    [View Server Configurations]

     

    1. Execute CimonD (V3.03) and open your project as
    shown below.

     

     

     

    2. Go to [Tools] and click [Security].

     

     

     

     

    3. Click on [New User] and enter User ID and Password.

     

     

     

     

    4. Click [OK] and note that your account has been
    registered for security as shown below.

       Hit [OK] as you close this [Security
    Configuration].

     

     

     

     

     

    5. Go to [Tools] and click [Network].

       Select [Stand-Alone] in the Function and check the box
    for [View/Control Server].

     

     

     

     

     

    6. Click on [Local Setup] and enter your PC’s IP address
    (This IP address will be the Server).

     

     

     

     

    7. You can check your PC’s IP address by using
    ‘ipconfig.’

     

     

     

     

    8. Save your project and run CimonX (V3.03).

     

     

     

     

    [View Client
    Configurations]

     

    1. Execute Cimon View (V3.03) and click on [Local
    Setup].

        Enter Client PC’s IP Address.

     

     

     

     

    2. Click on [Connect] and enter Main Server’s IP
    address (172.30.10.201), User ID and Password.

     

     

     

     

    3. Hit [OK] and wait a few seconds to load your
    project file.

     

     

     

     

    4. View Client has successfully connected to the View
    Main Server.

     

  • Q. How does the SCADA version compatibility work?


    A. Once
    a project is opened at higher SCADA version, it is unable to downgrade it.

     

     

     

    Here is an error message on project version
    compatibility below.

     

     


    Upgrading a
    project version is supported

     

    Ex) the SCADA ver 2.14 project file can be opened at SCADA
    ver 3.03 (UltimateAccess).  
    → Upgrading is possible

     

     

     

    Downgrading a
    project version is NOT supported

     

    Ex) Once project is opened at SCADA ver 3.03 (UltimateAccess), then this project cannot be opened at SCADA(CIMON-D) ver 2.14.  
    Downgrading

     

     

     

     


    From SCADA ver3.00,
    the last saved project version information is displayed.
